Mr. Fuentes’ commitment to guiding his students toward the highest standard of excellence is evident in his teaching — finding success in every aspect of the school band program. From success with non-varsity and sub non-varsity performing literature well above their prescribed grade level, to masses of woodwind students find success in TMEA auditions — this a testament to his pedagogy and, one of his greatest strengths, his work ethic. But easily, Mr. Fuentes’ greatest strength is his deep, ardent love for his students. His is consistently demonstrating himself to be one of their biggest fans. He guides, supports, uplifts, and cheers for each and every one of them every single day. He empowers them to reach heights in their musicianship, leadership, and character they may not have felt possible otherwise. Mr. Fuentes is a model teacher for all of us to aspire to.
